Fieldbase designs, supplies, and installs solar and hybrid power systems built specifically for the operational realities of infrastructure deployment in Africa and beyond. Our systems are engineered for high ambient temperatures, dusty environments, and remote locations where maintenance access is limited. Every installation is designed around your actual load requirements, your site conditions, and your tolerance for downtime.

We are not a domestic solar installer. Our focus is infrastructure-grade power systems for telecoms, connectivity, health, and public sector applications—where power failure is not an inconvenience but a direct operational risk.

Solar system options

Solar PV + Battery (Off-Grid)

A standalone solar and battery system with no grid connection. Solar panels generate power during daylight hours; lithium or VRLA battery banks store energy for overnight and cloudy-day operation. Sized to maintain full load operation for a defined number of days without sun.

Best for

    Remote telecoms towers, rural facilities, community hubs, and any site where grid connection is not feasible.

    Solar + Grid (Grid-Tied with Backup)

    A solar system connected to the grid with battery backup. Under normal conditions, solar offsets grid consumption and reduces electricity costs. When the grid fails, the battery backup automatically supplies power without interruption.

    Best for

      Facilities with grid access but frequent outages—clinics, schools, offices, and urban telecoms sites where cost reduction and resilience are both priorities.

      Solar + Generator Hybrid

      A system combining solar, battery storage, and a diesel or petrol generator. The generator activates only when battery reserves fall below a set threshold—typically during extended periods of low solar generation. This dramatically reduces generator run hours and fuel consumption compared to generator-only operation.

      Best for

        Sites with high loads or critical uptime requirements where solar + battery alone cannot guarantee supply—large telecoms shelters, data infrastructure, and industrial remote sites.
