Integrated Rural Electrification & Connectivity (IRECI)

Overview

Overview

By integrating solar power systems and internet connectivity into a single coordinated deployment, we work with mini-grid providers to deliver internet access alongside their electricity deployment, reduce total project cost, and dramatically shorten the timeline from planning to impact. A community that receives IRECI gets lights, device charging, and internet access in the same deployment cycle.

What IRECI includes

Solar Power Infrastructure

  • Centralised solar mini-grid or distributed solar home systems, depending on community size

  • Battery storage for 24-hour power availability

  • Power distribution to homes, facilities, and public infrastructure

  • Smart metering and pay-as-you-go (PAYG) billing options

Internet Connectivity Infrastructure

  • Starlink LEO satellite or licensed wireless backhaul as the internet source

  • Community Wi-Fi mesh network covering key community zones

  • Optional dedicated connections for schools, health centres, and government facilities

  • Bandwidth management to ensure equitable access

Integrated Civil Works

  • Shared poles, trenching, and mounting infrastructure for both power and connectivity

  • Single site survey and planning process covering both systems

  • Coordinated installation teams reducing community disruption and project duration

Community Systems & Training

  • Local operator training for both power and network systems

  • Revenue collection tools for energy and connectivity services

  • Ongoing remote monitoring and technical support

Why integration matters

Why integration matters

When power and connectivity are delivered separately, projects face duplicated costs, longer timelines, and repeated disruption. RECI’s integrated approach changes that:

  • A single mobilisation, not two
  • Shared infrastructure reduces costs up to 30%
  • Power and internet live from day one
  • One local operator manages both systems
  • Single support via Fieldbase for the full installation

Deployment process

A clear step by step approach from initial planning to final handover, ensuring every stage is carefully managed for quality, efficiency, and reliable results.

01/07

Community Identification & Feasibility

We assess proposed communities for solar resource availability, population density, existing infrastructure, and connectivity options. We produce a feasibility report covering both power and internet components.

02/07

Integrated System Design

Our engineers produce a unified design covering solar generation, storage, distribution, and network topology. You receive a single integrated proposal with clear cost and impact projections.

03/07

Stakeholder Engagement & Approvals

We support community consultation, regulatory approvals, and any land or right-of-way agreements required for installation.

04/07

Procurement & Logistics

All equipment—solar panels, batteries, inverters, antennas, network hardware—is procured and transported to site in a coordinated logistics operation.

05/07

Installation & Commissioning

Integrated field teams install both systems simultaneously. Power and internet are commissioned together, with full testing before handover.

06/07

Operator Training & Handover

Local operators are trained on system management, fault reporting, customer billing, and basic maintenance. We provide manuals, remote monitoring dashboards, and a direct support line.

07/07

Long-Term Support

We provide ongoing remote monitoring, scheduled maintenance visits, spare parts supply, and network expansion planning as the community grows.
